Job Summary and Responsibilities The Engineer works under general supervision to provide Engineering support to field and staff personnel through a variety of projects and assignments. The Engineer also evaluates system performance through modeling, develops system designs, oversees construction, maintenance, and operations activities, investigates incidents, trouble-shoots systems and equipment, tests materials, and performs other assignments.
As an Engineer you will learn to:
- Work with a variety of analytical software to provide solutions to improve efficiency of natural gas transmission and distribution systems
- Understand the operation of gas facilities to properly supply natural gas to customers
- Develop knowledge of the installation process of new facilities and the retirement of existing ones as a part of new pipeline construction program
- Ensure we are delivering a quality service to our customers
- Develop knowledge of gate stations and regulator vaults
- Work with various stakeholders and provide input on technical engineering aspects of projects
This position is part of the Engineering job family (Associate Engineer/Engineer/Senior Engineer). Experience will be the determining factor.
Our Engineering positions are part of the engineering rotation program. This provides our Engineers opportunity to learn a variety of engineering functions.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 0-2 yrs. relevant engineering experience (internship/co-op experience may be included as relevant engineering)
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with transmission pipelines
