Position Summary The Metrea Aircraft Engine Specialist is a key member of our senior technical team supporting our business units, customers and key stakeholders in relation to the management and optimization of our aircraft engines. The role is for a highly experienced aircraft engine professional who is seeking a role filled with opportunity challenge and growth, Essential Functions Statements Provide leadership and oversight of business unit aircraft engine maintenance and overhaul planning and scheduling Lead contract negotiations with major engine MRO vendors for all contracts and orders Execute and coordinate Engine maintenance and repair work scope monitoring and follow-up with vendors on task status and turnaround times
Build and maintain strong relationships with Business Unit aircraft maintenance teammates across the Enterprise
Build and maintain strong relationships with engine OEM's, MRO's and suppliers aligning with Metrea operational needs .
Lead and assist each Business Unit with a view to optimal engine performance and life cycle, maximizing reliability and availability of engines and integrating industry best practice engine maintenance solutions and procedures to ensure optimal engine performance and life cycle.
Determine engine asset standardizations and specifications to optimize across enterprise value Determine and continually review engine asset inventory in order to maintain the highest level of reliability to our customers and stakeholders
Meet and exceed Industry best proactive for engine service life, reliability and availability, Develop strategic plans for professional development of business unit engine management team mates to ensure ongoing knowledge advancement of aircraft engine issues, solutions and operating standards Conduct audits of suppliers and monitor findings
Conduct audits of business unit maintenance organizations (internal and external) to ensure industry best practice and regulatory compliance levels are met, maintained and exceeded
Coordinate commercial efforts to rationalize assets as required
Manage and maximize opportunities for warranty coverage Manage and maximize Enterprise and business unit purchasing discounts Competency Statements 7-10 years of aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul experience and/or 3-5 years of engine maintenance management leadership Existing vendor relationships with engine OEM's and MROs Able to read and understand technical publication relating to engines, interpret engine performance data, maintenance manuals, and illustrated parts catalogs
Degree in Engineering, Aviation, Management, Science or similar field of expertise
Experience with leading the oversight of repair and overhaul of engines (CFM-56, PT6, CF34, or PW123) and major components Supervisory Responsibility This role has no supervisory responsibilities initially but can grow into a more mature organization Work Environment This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager. Facility Location: Metrea Management - HYBRID role with office locations in Tampa, FL Oklahoma City, OK, Temecula CA, with outside of US Travel Travel
Travel requirements are: 25-50% Applicants must hold a valid passport without restrictions for travel Applicants must be elidable for visas in all countries required Required Education, Experience and Certificates EASA B1 B2 Aircraft Engineer license; and /or FAA A&P license Engine ratings on PT6, PW100, CFMI series engines as minimum Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.
