Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on employment law matters, including but not limited to hiring, termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, and employee benefits.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, severance agreements, non-compete agreements, and other employment-related contracts.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex employment law issues and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including discrimination claims, wrongful termination suits, and wage and hour disputes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of workplace policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of developments in employment law and advise clients on emerging legal trends and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar with 2-7 years of experience practicing employment law.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice and counseling to clients.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience representing both employers and employees in employment-related matters.
  • Prior experience handling employment litigation matters, including trials and administrative proceedings.
  • Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation and arbitration.
  • Experience advising clients in the technology, healthcare, or financial services industries.
