We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate Permanent Employment Law Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be a critical part of our thriving legal department, providing comprehensive advice on all aspects of employment law. This role is perfect for a driven individual with a strong background in business law, civil litigation, corporate law, and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of employment law, including the creation and interpretation of employee handbooks. If you are a strategic thinker with strong legal research and writing skills, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

1. Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of employment law issues, including but not limited to, employee relations, disciplinary actions, terminations, and employee benefits.
2. Draft, review, and revise employment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
3. Represent the company in employment-related litigation, including managing outside counsel.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of employment-related legal matters.
5. Provide training to HR and management on employment law topics.
6. Negotiate and draft employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related contracts.
7. Collaborate with the HR department to ensure the company's policies and procedures are in line with the latest changes in employment law.
8. Participate in the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures and programs, and provide continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters.

Qualifications

1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing employment law.
4. Proven experience in business law, civil litigation, legal research, legal writing, corporate law, commercial litigation, and litigation.
5. Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
6. Experience in drafting and implementing employment policies and procedures.
7. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
8. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
9. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
12. Experience with employment law-related litigation.
13. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
