VCA Aurora Animal Hospital seeks a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to oversee and supervise our Swing/Overnight Emergency and Critical Care Service.

You will work alongside our Medical Director, Hospital Manager, Day Emergency Technician Supervisor, and Department Supervisors to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning environment.

In the Emergency Veterinary Technician Supervisor Role your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Directing work flow on the floor

Cultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture

Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital

Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates

Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills

Conduct staff meetings

Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience

Mentoring technicians within the department

Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner

Refining and implementing protocols

Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

VETERINARY TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed Veterinary Technician - CVT, LVT, RVT

5+ years of emergency experience

Team leadership experience

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation: Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity, we can offer 3 x 13s or 4 x 10s. If you choose 3 x13s, 4 pm- 5am. If you choose 4 x 10s 10pm - 8 am.
