• Meet and comply with the Hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances including The Arizona Department of Health Division of Licensing Services (ADOH), Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission.
• Ensure strict confidentiality of all employee and patient information.
• Provide and support activities regarding implementation of hospital policy on patient's rights and responsibilities.
• Collaborate to ensure proper provision of care to provide for physiological, psychosocial environmental, educational and discharge planning needs of the patient are met.
• Collaborate with medical providers and other discipline resources in planning and providing patient care services.
• Implement standard of care practices for the treatment of patients in the ER.
• Establish, implement, and communicate goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in accordance with nursing plan and practice.
• Accurately documents all patient care activities, changes in patients' condition, reassessment, and response to therapy, and pertinent communication with members of the health care team in the patient's electronic health record.
• Participates in a code blue for patients in Medical/Telemetry Unit (MTU) or Outpatient Clinic (OPD) if needed and an active member of the ER code team and Rapid Response Team (RRT).
• Accurately administers blood/blood products, medication/medical treatment, monitors and documents patient's condition and response to therapy in accordance with current standards of care and hospital policy.
• Perform basic neurological exam and assessments of mental status, to include level of consciousness, respiratory pattern, presence of confusion, lethargy or hallucinations and motor strength.

• Associates of Science in Nursing, BSN preferred.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience in the ED preferred.
• Valid unrestricted nursing license from the state of Arizona or another compact licensing state.
• Valid American Heart Association certification of BLS, ACLS, PALS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification will be required within 45 days of hire. Proof of course enrollment will be required before start date and course fees will be reimbursed after satisfactory 90-day probation period.
