Job Purpose: The Emergency Medicine Specialist assists with direct patient care to provide support services to the patients, families and other Emergency Department staff. The Emergency Medicine Specialist performs tasks and duties within the scope of their job description as well as those delegated by the Registered Nurse (RN). Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.
Your Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Basic Life Support Certification required; Advanced Cardio Life Support preferred
• Current Texas EMT-P certification (license required)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support recommended
• 1 year as a paramedic in pre-hospital or hospital setting;2 years experience as EMT-P (preferred)
