Emergency Medicine Locums Opportunity in Washington, PA: $300 hourly
Job Description:
Emergency Medicine in Washington, PA where Inpatient Coverage is needed. Here are some of the details:
Start Date: July 1, 2024 - Ongoing
Coverage needed: Need multiple candidates to cover several open shifts across both Hospitals. The need is 70 shifts across both locations, and providers will be scheduled at 1 location per day.

Submission Requirements: MUST meet ALL requirements in order to submit
- Board Certified or Board Eligible- REQUIRED
- Active PA license or willing to obtain - REQUIRED
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS - REQUIRED
- 2 years experience-REQUIRED
Practice Description:
- Multiple positions available
- Adult %: 90%
- PEDS %: 10%
- Not a Trauma Center
- APP/Mid-level coverage available during Mid-Day shift time
- Location 1: 52k patients a year / Busy department
- Location 2: 18k patients a year / 8 Treatment rooms
- Patients per shift? Location 1: 18-20, Location 2: 16-24
- Will the doctor be expected to supervise APP s? Both locations- yes, however they work independently.
- Is there a hospitalist on staff? Both locations - yes.
- Who does admissions? The ED provider enters ED Bridge orders to get the patient admitted. Very minimal.
- Who runs code? Location 1 the Intensivist does, at Location 2 the ED doc does.
- The census on average at Location 2 is only 8 patients per day, therefore codes and RRTs are limited.
- Surgical procedures required: Chest tubes, cricothyrotomy, etc - your typical emergency medicine surgical procedures.
- EMR: Sunrise
