As an Embedded Systems Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and deploying secure system solutions using novel CPU design, crypto cores, purpose-built system-on-a-chip architectures, and hardened operating systems to ensure the safety and security of systems. Your role will involve deep diving into software, firmware, and hardware components to understand their architecture, functionality, and communication protocols. You will analyze assembly language, machine code, and source code to decipher complex algorithms, uncover hidden features, and identify security flaws. Specializing in identifying vulnerabilities unique to embedded systems, you will work with buffer overflows, stack vulnerabilities, and memory leaks. Utilizing advanced development/debugging tools, documenting reverse engineering efforts, and collaborating within a team are essential aspects of this role.

Experience Required:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong expertise in embedded C programming.

- Proficiency in one or more assembly languages.

- Familiarity with embedded systems architecture, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems.

- Experience with reverse engineering tools and techniques (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, JTAG debugging).

- Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking abilities.

- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

- Working knowledge of applied cryptography.

- Expertise using Xilinx Vivado.

- Proficiency in additional software programming languages, e.g., Python.

- Embedded system design experience.

- Operating systems experience.
