Electronics Technician III with Security Clearance

Description Electronics Technician III San Diego, CA Responsibilities: The Electronics Technician Maintenance III applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturer manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering, changes. Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. This position may provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians. Hourly rate of $32.66 per hour. Requirements: Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance 2 years of industry trade school or civilian college in electronics. Completion of an appropriate military "A" school and completion of at least one appropriate military "B" or "C" school may be substituted for the two-year requirement Associate's or higher in EE, CE, CS, TM, IS, IRM, IT or Physics. 5 yrs C4ISR or other relevant experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides, and ducts, while using logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes.
