Shift: 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, with weekly on call rotation Pay depending on experience $20-$25/hr. - Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
- Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
- Attend monthly safety meetings
- Understand and follow all SQF and FSMA policies
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE: - Proven experience as an electrician
- Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
- Troubleshoot PLC programming
- Running conduits and calculate proper load sizing
Demonstrable ability to use
electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical
drawings and blueprints
Thorough knowledge of safety
procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
Excellent critical thinking and
problem-solving ability
The employee may be required to lift up to 50
lbs. While performing the duties of this
job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is required to sit, stand, walk,
climb and bend. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision. Specific hearing abilities are required.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Hardhat
and protective eyewear required within and around processing facilities. Hearing protection required in areas where
levels exceed 85 db. Uniform provided by
Purefield Ingredients. Steel toe leather
boots. Additional PPE is required when
handling hazardous chemicals and in certain areas of the facilities.
Must be able
to speak and listen clearly. Fine visual acuity to read for accuracy.
