Job Summary: The Electrical Technician II will install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, perform, organize, and repair electrical controls for all BioSpectra facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install rough wiring and finish wiring
  • Install and run PVC and EMT conduits
  • Install and inspect panel boxes and breakers
  • Perform work on 480 and 240 3 phase
  • Ability to lay out projects
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Generates part lists to be ordered from blue prints
  • Performs and organizes running wiring and setting up equipment as needed
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including programmable controls, pneumatic controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment
  • Ability to calculate electrical loads
  • Install and maintain emergency generators
  • Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes
  • Performs and organizes scheduled equipment preventive maintenance
  • Assists other maintenance employees as needed
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices
  • Ensure quality standard performance
  • Documents all related maintenance in applicable logs
  • Wears appropriate PPE for the duties being performed
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management
  • Excellent documentation practices
Qualifications:
  • Five+ years of proven electrical experience in the commercial industry
  • Arc Flash Certified preferred
  • A thorough knowledge of Current Electrical Code Requirements in residential, commercial and industrial applications
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude related to various trades preferred
  • General knowledge of commercial maintenance preferred
  • Detail and Team Oriented
  • Ability to learn cGMP and Safety programs

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting/Standing/Moving- Standing up to 8 hours daily. Occasionally sitting. Frequently alternating between sitting and standing. Walking up to 8 hours, 6000 feet.
  • Lifting & Moving- Must be able to lift and move up to 80 pounds and able to carry 20 feet. Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds 1500 feet.
  • Other Movements- Frequently reaching overhead or below, along with frequently crouching, stooping and kneeling. Occasionally crawling. Occasionally must climb stairs with tools.
  • Other Physical Requirements- Occasional driving to other facilities. Possible forklift operation.
  • Speaking, Hearing & Visual- Must be able to speak clearly. Hearing is required constantly throughout shift. Must be able to see near, distant and peripheral objects all the time.
  • Environmental- Seasonal exposure outside. Occasional warm climates indoors. Temperatures will vary with conditions and tasks. Exposure to exterior noise as well as internal machinery noise. Must be able to put on personal protective equipment throughout shift.
  • Cognitive- Must learn new policies, procedures, retain and perform tasks assigned. Must continuously maintain focus.

Work Hours:

  • Non-Exempt Position; Monday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm; Occasional off-shift work
  • Minimum of 40-45 Hours per Week, or other agreed-upon documented schedule
  • This position requires occasional travel to and working from other BioSpectra facilities, as well as occasional off-shift work
