Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure electrical designs comply with national, regional, and industry codes and safety standards.
  • Analyze available power systems, recommend optimal designs, and provide input for proposals.
  • Create and maintain power system models using industry-standard tools.
  • Design MV substations and power distribution systems.
  • Conduct Short Circuit and Arc Flash Analysis.
  • Collaborate with customers, authorities, and vendors on electrical issues.
  • Write technical specifications for procurement and evaluate equipment bids.
  • Review and approve drawing submittals and relay settings.
  • Interface with control and SCADA system engineers.
  • Develop cable schedules and inspect electrical equipment during commissioning.
  • Create and maintain electrical single-line diagrams.
  • Generate detailed drawings for wiring and control schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues throughout project lifecycles.
  • Coordinate with utility companies as needed.
  • Support commissioning, startup, and operator training.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of electrical power system engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and industry codes.
  • Experience with power system modeling and CAD tools.
  • EIT or PE certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Up to 20% travel required, with extended on-site stays during project phases.
