Electrical Power Engineer

Our client, a specialty engineering, automation, and integration company, is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer in their Atlanta, GA location. You'll conduct electrical power load studies, ensuring the efficient functioning of electrical systems. Your expertise will extend to conducting factory acceptance testing on electrical power equipment and executing field verification walkdowns to accurately document existing Electrical and E&I infrastructure. Location: Atlanta, GA About the Role:
•   Preparation of comprehensive electrical power construction packages that meet the requirements for Professional Engineer stamping and submission for authority plan check.
•   Development of electrical power bills of material and coordination with vendors for procured equipment pricing.
•   Execution of start-up and commissioning activities, including troubleshooting electrical power and E&I systems as needed.
•   Providing after-hours support for internal and external clients when required.
•   Collaborating with Project Managers to ensure the overall quality of commercial deliverables, maintain budgets, and keep them informed of technical progress and any issues or change orders that arise. Requirements:
•   Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
•   Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
•   3-5 years of experience in developing comprehensive electrical construction and specification packages suitable for submission to authority plan check, including load studies, single line diagrams, lighting, grounding, conduit and cable schedules, construction specifications, and equipment and installation details.
•   Knowledgeable in National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE 3000 Series, and API 500 (preferred).
•   Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel. Why Work for Us
