Job Details
Primary Responsibilities:
• Conduct work safely per company policy including GMP and SQF standards; help coach/mentor coworkers in electrical safety.
• Help the maintenance team to improve uptime of production equipment and processes by identifying process & equipment efficiency / cost savings opportunities.
• Own small/midsized facility electrical projects and assist in the electrical installation & maintenance of production equipment.
• Provide necessary electrical expertise as required.
• Participate in the planning and technical development of projects.
• Help to develop, verify, update and ensure compliance of Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
• Inspect production equipment and facility electrical systems and develop corrective actions.
• Provide rapid respond to electrical safety concerns/incidents.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance tasks.
• Select, order, and purchase materials (with manager's approval) for projects.
• Work closely with other maintenance techs, production teams, and leadership to prioritize and execute necessary work.
• Help to organize and participate in training sessions: Safety, NFPA 70E, Forklift safety, SQF, etc.
• Maintain records of completed work.
• Adhere to all PPE and GMP requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Understand electrical safety requirements and be able to mentor others on electrical safety.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and installation.
• Ability to troubleshoot facility and production equipment electrical issues.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Self-starter and self-reliant.
• Ability and desire to foster positive working relationships with your co-workers.
• Ability to collect information and accurately relay that information in verbal and written form.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel for extended periods of time.
Education and Experience:
• Higher education degree preferred (bachelors/associates), high school diploma required.
• Holds a journeyman or master electrician license in the state of Wisconsin.
• 3-5 years maintenance electrical experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Low and high voltage electrical experience.
• Experience in food and beverage manufacturing environment preferred.
