This appointment will include up to a 21-credit hour teaching load per semester in Electrical and Instrumentation. All instructional duties will be at the main campus in Parkersburg. Teaching assignments may include evening, weekend, and potential hybrid instruction. In addition, duties may include academic advising, assisting with program and course-level assessment, program support, effective use of learning management systems, student recruitment/retention, professional development, and committee service. Must demonstrate effective use of technology as a condition of continued employment beyond the first year. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelors degree from a recognized regionally accredited institution with major emphasis in electrical technology, OR certifying documentation of journeyman rating (or equivalent status) in a recognized vocational field. Required Experience: at least five years of industry field experience. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of industrial electricity and instrumentation practices, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and the National Electric Code is required. Demonstrated use of advanced technology systems such as learning management systems or similar technologies. Preferred SKAs: Industrial maintenance experience and OSHA training. Electricity and Instrumentation experience. Understanding and application of assessment practices. Demonstration of teaching effectiveness is part of the on-campus interview.
