This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering the next generation manned and unmanned combat vehicles and watercraft systems for the U.S. Army and Marine Corp. Working as a DCS employee in Littleton, Massachusetts, you will assist in the development of electrical and electronic hardware for military ground vehicle and marine vessels. This is a full-time paid summer internship position.

Essential Job Functions:

Under supervision of senior engineer:

Design and develop electrical and electronics hardware including circuit boards, wire and cable harnesses for ground vehicles.

Perform analysis including but not limited to circuit modeling and simulations, tolerances analysis, first order thermal analysis and FMEA.

Assist senior engineers with all aspects of electronics hardware development throughout the product life cycle from circuit design, document generation, circuit board manufacturing, design verification testing, environmental testing, low volume production, integration, system verification, and field support.

Assist with creation or revision of design documents including requirements specifications, design description, product documents (schematics, Bill of Materials, PCB layouts, wiring and cable drawings), test plans and procedures, and verification reports.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Junior or Senior year candidate for bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or Electronics Engineering Technology.

Basic proficiency with circuit modeling and simulation using SPICE or other similar tools.

Course work on circuit design & analysis.

Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

Internship or experience using Altium for schematic, layout, and manufacturing files generation.

Experience modeling with Matlab Simulink and Simscape.

Coursework or Experience with CPLD and FPGA.

Experience with microcontrollers and ARM processors.

Experience with C programming.

Exposure or experience with National Instruments Labview programming.
