Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Design Engineer with expertise in automotive systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing compute PCBs, selecting and supporting hardware solutions, and ensuring signal integrity and power management for embedded systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Design compute PCBs for automotive systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

  • Collaborate with component suppliers to select and support hardware solutions that meet project requirements.

  • Demonstrate understanding of signal integrity and power integrity principles for board design, including SI/PI basics.

  • Provide leadership and guidance in HPC hardware development, with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in embedded systems.

  • Conduct schematic and layout reviews, addressing signal integrity, EMI, and acoustics issues for power management and mixed signal routing.

  • Support hardware bring-up and engineering validation activities.

  • Collaborate with platform/software teams to implement and apply IC solutions.

  • Utilize automotive audio and video expertise to enhance product performance (desired).

  • Design and integrate Power Management ICs, ADCs, Precision DACs, and other mixed-signal components.

  • Validate hardware designs, ensuring functionality and reliability.

  • Proficiency in digital interfaces such as SPI, I2C, RS485, RS232, USB-PD, USB 2.0/3.0 protocols, SMBUS, and Ethernet.

  • Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation abilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in HPC hardware development, preferably in embedded systems.

  • Expertise in automotive audio and video systems is desired.

  • Proficiency in designing Power Management ICs, ADCs, Precision DACs, and active anti-aliasing filters.

  • Experience with digital interfaces, including SPI, I2C, RS485, RS232, USB-PD, USB 2.0/3.0 protocols, SMBUS, and Ethernet.

  • Strong understanding of signal integrity and power integrity principles for board design.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Pay Details: $80.00 to $90.00 per hour
