Job Details

In this role, you will design and develop computer software relating to automated equipment. You will participate in the software design process from beginning to end for automated machinery systems. You will demonstrate the aptitude to communicate issues or problems discovered throughout the equipment design, manufacturing, and installation.

Responsibilities:
Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to software development processes
Create documentation to identify requirements for software and propose possible solutions
Coordinate with design engineers and other staff who have experience and knowledge of specific customer requirements
Design and develop computer software for the automated machinery industry
Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas
Maintain quality and safety standards are upheld
Provide software support for production and manufacturing
Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions
Provide software guidance and troubleshooting for checkout and debug procedures, customer acceptance trials, and R&D projects
Provide software support on customer installations and customer phone support
Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions

Skills:
Ability to multi-task and apply critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of software systems and programming languages
Proficient with software engineering tools and applications
Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required
Experience with pneumatics, servo motors, and electronic instrumentation is desired
Minimum of two years of related engineering experience
Prior experience in the food processing and packaging industry is preferred
Experience with EPLAN software is a plus
