Electrical Draftsman

Responsibilities for this Position Electrical Draftsman US-CT-Groton Job ID: 9 Type: Full-Time of Openings: 30 Category: Drafting/Design EB Groton Shipyard Overview There is presently a great need for a highly-motivated Electrical Draftsman with the ability to produce design deliverables from design sketches, layouts and/or concepts to support manufacture, assembly and test. We are looking for a candidate with the desire to develop skills through on-the-job experience and continued education to advance in the design profession. Qualifications Required: High School diploma or GED 3-5 years relevant work experience Knowledge of Microsoft products Familiarity with design practices/rules and CAD tools Ability to perform design related math functions Ability to read and interpret written instructions and drawings (blueprints) Demonstrated proficiency in drafting (portfolio) with Computer Aided Design (CAD) Preferred: Degree from a Technical School/College Successfully completed the CT Department of Labor Eastern Workforce Investment Board Training Program Familiarity with Electrical Design Systems, Cableways and Components Familiarity with Design Standards, Military Specifications, Manufacturing Processes, Design for Six Sigma, Lean Design/Manufacturing Demonstrated proficiency in drafting (portfolio) with Autocad/CATIA/NX
