Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a top-notch Video Signal Processing Design Team with Renesas' Central Engineering Business Unit. You will be part of a very skilled group of engineers who have built several dozen ICs in mass production and are helping build world class video products that will power tomorrow's automotive and high-speed video solutions.

You will design complex chips that includes various analog and digital control circuitry and work very closely with all aspects of chip design - from writing specifications to developing tests for mass production. You will work closely with the digital design team for design integration, as well as the applications and test engineering team for validating and testing your on-chip solutions; also on high-speed analog circuit design, existing and emerging standards such as MIPI, LVDS.

You will be tasked with designing circuits like PLLs, DACs, ADCs, comparators, serializers, de-serializers, and much more, and you will have an opportunity to work on new designs, develop new standards, and shape the company's pathway for success.

Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities will be a mix of the following:

Designing analog circuits that meet timing, area, power, and any adhering standards specifications

Running block and top-level simulations

Taking care of timing and layout considerations for interfacing analog and digital blocks

Working closely with layout engineers and supervising their work to generate a circuit layout that not only works well for the overall chip but is something you can be proud of

Running parasitic extracted simulations and making sure the designed circuit is robust and meets design parameters across corners

Working with analog and digital design and verification engineers to come up with complex test scenarios for pre-silicon verification

Developing AMS, SystemVerilog, or Verilog-real behavioral model for your circuit and working with the verification team to ensure the IP is verified completely

Working closely with test engineering to help develop test programs that thoroughly test key parameters of your circuit for mass production

Developing detailed design documents, and compliance matrix and helping write chip-level documents and collateral

Holding and participating in key design reviews and completion of various checklists
