Electrical Engineer
Position Overview: With a commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability, we are seeking an early career electrical engineer to join our design team based in Orlando, Florida. Position responsibilities and candidate qualifications are defined in this position description. Candidates who do not possess the required qualifications will not be considered.
At a high level, responsibilities of this position include:

• Working closely with clients, project managers, and internal teams to understand project requirements, propose design solutions, and provide regular updates on project progress.

• Provide direct support during the commissioning phase, troubleshooting and resolution of any electrical design issues that may arise.

• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in control panel technology and electrical engineering and apply this knowledge to enhance our design processes and offerings.

• Prepare detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and other necessary technical documentation to support the design, build and commissioning process.
This position reports to the Technical Director Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed EPLAN electrical drawings, consisting of schematics, panel layouts (in both 2D and 3D), wiring diagrams, and bills of material.

• Design for systems with motor starters, VFDs, heating, and various control devices and sensors that tie into our unique control systems.

• Understand and use industry standards (e.g., UL, NEC, CSA).

• Work with 24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC, and 600VAC systems.

• Integration of electrical equipment (electrical panels, conduit, cable trays, etc.) with mechanical equipment in a 3D workspace using Autodesk Inventor.

• Navigate and work with electrical materials in the SAP system.

• Prepare documentation to support product designs, including contributing to operations and maintenance manuals for customers, and equipment assembly instructions.

• Collaborate with other members of the mechanical design, electrical design, and process control teams as part of the design process.

• Work with other members of the global team, including those in international manufacturing facilities responsible for building equipment per design specifications.

• Collaborate with external parties, including customers, equipment suppliers, and third-party fabricators.
Qualifications:

• At a minimum, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent, from an accredited university is required. Candidates with a master's degree in electrical engineering will be considered.

• Strong knowledge of electrical components, including PLCs, HMIs, motor drives, and sensors.

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software EPLAN is a plus.

• Experience with 3D CAD software such as Inventor is a plus.

• Experience with SAP is a plus.

• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., UL, NEC, CSA, IEC).

• Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.

• The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other members of the team, with customers, and with other external parties such as equipment suppliers and third-party fabricators is required.

• Strong technical English communication skills are required.

• The ability to think strategically to deliver both the company and departmental objectives.

• Outstanding attention to detail and able to plan, prioritize and manage a heavy workload and delegate appropriately.

• A team player who contributes positively to already strong team dynamics.
