Team: Relativity Space is looking for a highly motivated Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Technician to join the EHS Team. The EHS Technician will work daily with our Stennis rocket engine test frontline operations and technician teams and will partner with our EHS personnel to meet EHS objectives and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. This position will be spent primarily in the field working alongside frontline operations performing inspections, and risk assessments (JHAs), and coaching our frontline operations teams What you'll do: In addition to the above, this person will be responsible for the following: Develop partnerships and collaborate with frontline operations personnel such as welders, technicians, and operations specialists. Conduct field inspections and risk assessments related to frontline technician jobs/tasks in factory, launch, or test sites. Guide and assist operations personnel with reporting incidents, injuries, and root cause analysis. Conduct hands-on EHS training for front-line operations such as LOTO, Confined Spaces, Fall Protection, forklifts, and aerial lifts. Inspect and maintain hazardous waste including lineside, satellite, and central waste accumulation areas. Conduct environmental emissions and waste sampling per environmental permit requirements. Conduct industrial hygiene noise/air samples. Support spill response and prevention initiatives per SPCC plan requirements. Support EHS policy/program enforcement in factory, launch, or test sites. What you need to know: First Aid, CPR, AED, and BBP certified - Relativity will provide training if certification has lapsed. Minimum 2-3 years working in frontline operations for heavy manufacturing, construction, or emergency services. Minimum 2-3 years experience working in EHS Highschool diploma or equivalent Excellent verbal communication skills Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts and aerial lifts Comfortable using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations Experience performing JHAs and field inspections. Experienced and comfortable delivering training of EHS topics. Nice to haves but not required: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent EMT certification and experience Knowledge of aerospace test operations Completion of coursework or training on the following topics: OSHA 30-hour - Relativity will provide this training after the start date HAZWOPER 40-hour training Forklift operator certified Aerial lift operator certified RCRA / DOT Hazardous Waste Certified - Relativity will provide this training after the start date Bi-Lingual Relativity Space offers competitive salary and equity, a generous vacation policy, an annual L&D stipend and more.
