Overview: The LG Energy Solution-Honda joint venture has partnered with Rose International for Direct hire recruiting services for this role.
As an EHS System Specialist, your primary focus would be on managing and optimizing software systems related to safety, health, and environmental compliance. Responsibilities will include:
Software System Management:
• Oversee and maintain EHS software applications used for safety reporting, incident tracking, compliance management, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper implementation, configuration, and integration of EHS software.
• Work with vendors to obtain quotes for subscription renewals. Ensure that subscriptions are renewed in a timely manner before due dates.
• Troubleshoot system issues, perform upgrades, and manage user access.
Data Management:
• Collect, analyze, and interpret EHS data from various sources.
• Generate reports and dashboards to monitor safety performance, compliance metrics, and environmental impact.
Compliance Assurance:
• Ensure that the EHS software system aligns with regulatory requirements (such as OSHA, EPA, and industry-specific standards).
• Conduct audits to verify data accuracy and system effectiveness.
Training and Support:
• Train users on EHS software functionality and best practices.
• Provide ongoing technical support to users and address any system-related queries.
Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and propose enhancements to the EHS software system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree required in fields such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Environmental Health, or Safety
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Professional certification (ASP/CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred
• Prior experience in EHS software administration or related roles
• Familiarity with Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems (EHSMS)
Knowledge/Skills:
• Proficiency in EHS software applications (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, Cority, or similar)
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Must be comfortable working in a team setting
• Positive attitude, self-driven, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated effectiveness in accomplishing goals
• Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to work flexible hours occasionally
Additional Requirements:
• This role requires up to 10% of travel (domestic)
