Role Details: - Direct Hire.
- Salary: $63,000-$70,000
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
The EHS Safety Specialist is responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety programs. This individual will have specific responsibility for implementation and maintenance of assigned EHS programs.Daily Responsibilities: - Assist with the development, evaluation, implementation and administration of EHS, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and occupational health policies and programs
- Coach and mentor employees at all levels on safe work place behaviors
- Proactively work to identify and communicate EHS safety concerns and assist in resolving
- Collect, organize, and maintain data and records for EHS permit compliance and reporting
- Conduct, coordinate and participate in EHS inspections and audits
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of EHS training to employees, visitors, and contractors
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in science related field
- Willing to substitute education for experience
- 1-3 years of direct experience in Environmental Health & Safety; ideally in chemical field
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations; specifically, 29 CFR 1910
- General knowledge of ISO 14001; preferred
- Proficient with MS Office products
- Must be willing to travel 10-15% of the time
