Job Title: EHS Specialist
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range : $28 - $32/Hour on W2
Onsite role: Monday - Friday
Shift: 7 AM - 3 PM
Job Description:
- As the EHS Specialist II, you will prepare and/or assist in preparing policies and procedures in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
- You have knowledge in EHS Programs, including but not limited to, Powered Industrial Vehicles, Ergonomics, Training, Risk Assessment, and Emergency Response.
- Perform routine tasks with little instruction and supervision, and general instruction on new assignments.
- This position will work closely with both senior internal and external personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct EHS walk through frequently including documentation and follow-up as needed.
- Complete monthly EHS reports
- Support incident investigations including near miss events, compliance issues, work-related injuries and/or illnesses.
- Support site's Ergonomics Program.
- Act as liaison to associates and others receiving or requesting ergonomic evaluations.
- Provide guidance on EHS Training Programs.
- Review associate EHS Observations.
- Support the sites Hazardous Waste Program
- Maintain working knowledge of local, State and Federal Regulations that apply to our operations including but not limited to Federal OSHA, EPA and California Health and Safety Code.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
