Employbridge Search Group is currently recruiting for an EHS Specialist in Chatsworth CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, development and implement Environmental Health and Safety programs, projects and procedures within the company
  • Promote a safe work environment following EHS procedures, safety rules, processes and procedures by following cGMP practices and standard operating procedures
  • Adhere to OSHA standards, update, maintains OSHA required programs, training, logs, records, and reports
  • Subject matter expert on State and Federal safety related laws, rules and regulations. Provide information and making recommendations for changes and innovation to ensure compliance
  • Develop reviews, job safety analysis, policies and procedures, matrices and safety training programs for each position
  • Conduct routine inspections, risk assessments, participate in investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Lead Emergency Response team and operational readiness
  • Ensures facility is current on all environmental regulations, including maintenance of regulatory agency permits, licenses and required reports
  • Maintain environment management system for sustainable development, resources conservation and waste reduction
  • Coordination of all aspects of pollution prevention, waste management, environment health, risk assessment and employee involvement
  • Conducts detailed investigations on all work-related accidents and injuries
  • Process all worker's comp claims and provides necessary information to insurance carrier and management
  • Performs accident investigations. Suggest corrective actions and implement schedules for changes designed to prevent future reoccurrence of injury
  • Provide internal support, coordination and management of workers' compensation reporting, claims, cases and processes
  • Maintain and conduct appropriate training programs to ensure compliance and proper trainings are performed


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Safety or Environmental related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5 plus years of environmental, health and safety experience in a manufacturing or regulated industry
  • ESG reporting platform experience is preferred
  • Solid understanding of EHS guidelines and regulations
  • Ability to design, develop and implement EHS programs
  • Strong understand of OSHA guidelines and regulations
  • Excellent presentation skills both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving and project management
  • Excellent computer skills MS Office Products , Reporting and ERP systems
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • In accordance with California laws, the expected salary for this position is $90,000-$100,000/year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and education
