HOW YOU'LL FLY You'll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by: Supporting the development and implementation of safety and health programs in compliance with regulatory requirements and to create a culture of health and safety. Providing strategic and technical support, subject matter expertise, and implementation support to ensure ongoing program sustainability. Conducting workplace inspections and evaluations, including industrial hygiene surveys. Providing on-site technical expertise in EHS matters to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborating with various departments to integrate EHS as a core value in daily operations. Identifying potential hazards in the workplace, performing job hazard assessments, and collaborating with stakeholders in recommending preventive measures. Participating in incident investigations and root cause analyses for accidents or incidents. Liaising with external agencies and regulatory bodies on EHS matters. Advising on environmental management practices, including guiding operational areas in managing and disposing of regulated waste. Preparing and presenting reports on EHS activities to management. Supporting EHS permit requirements. Communicating EHS matters effectively including authoring site safety policies and EHS communications. Reviewing procedures for EHS risk management. Engaging in the Site Safety Committee and supporting safety initiatives. Developing and conducting training programs on safety regulations and requirements. Providing orientations and training to new employees. WHAT YOU'LL BRING You're the bird we're looking for if you have: 2+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), preferably in a biotech or laboratory setting. Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, science, or an engineering-related field a plus but not required. Experience delivering training programs. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong research and analytical skills for determining appropriate advisories and actions. Certifications in Massachusetts Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Department of Transportation (DOT). Knowledgeable about state and federal regulations (i.e., EPA, OSHA, DOT, etc.). Trained in emergency response, HAZMAT, first aid, incident command, and investigations. Proficient in interpreting chemical and safety data from Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Location: Boston, MA (Onsite) Contract Length: 12 months
