Job Summary: Raytheon's Effector Power and Analog Design (EPAD) Team is looking for a Laboratory Section Leader for a team of Engineering Support Technicians. This Section Leader will be responsible for the efforts of direct employees and will work closely with Engineering Support Technicians, Integrated Product Team Leads, and Program Managers to ensure engineering requirements, schedules and budgets are met. EPAD is responsible for the development, from concept to integration, of Telemetry and Flight Termination products; power systems from all up round to the lowest level power regulation; servo electronics supporting all mechanical motion in our products and low noise mixed signal electronics that provides the analog to digital interface to our front-end sensors. Each of these products generally operate in lower power and voltage ranges less than 10kW and 1000V. We value diverse skills and experience, so don't hold back. This position is an onsite role Responsibilities to Anticipate: Owns the quality and performance of the Power and Controls Electronics Deign Engineers. Oversees logistics such as time charging and performance reviews. Actively involved in the Engineering leadership for strategic planning alongside other section leads Collaborating with department management and HR to resolve difficult personnel issues fairly and ethically for all parties involved. Support program technical reviews and proposal efforts to identify Lab, equipment, and personnel skill level requirements. Define current staffing level needs and to anticipate future staffing needs of the programs and be able to provide effective and timely staffing solutions. Utilize knowledge of tools, processes and enablers to ensure the employee, the customer, and the department are successful. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with timecard systems such as APEX. 2 or more years' experience with leading teams Experience with assisting subordinates with growth opportunities. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to prioritize and direct others through competing priorities and customers. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Experience designing power electronics circuitry Experience designing power systems Leadership experience and capabilities to lead multifaceted teams. Knowledge of MIL-STD-704 and similar platform documents Understanding of how cross-matrixed organizations conduct business Experience with cost and schedule generation and reporting, including EVMS Experience in recruiting and hiring external talent through interviews and practical assessments. Experience and knowledge of Performance and Career Development tools to assist employees and self. Experience with MS Word, Project, PowerPoint and Excel. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
