Educational Facilities Planner

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Educational Facilities Planner to be based in Coral Gables, FL

Job responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

Conducts prost occupancy evaluations for completed capital projects.

Provides technical assistance and support to design professional project managers, educational planners, advance planners, and educational specialists, resolving questions and concerns related to M-DCPS land use and construction requirements.

Develops and maintains M-DCPS prototype educational specifications and coordinates with Design Criteria, Master Specifications, Facilities list, and Master FF&E lists.

Meets with M-DCPS Educational Specialists and other M-DCPS departments to determine specific needs of each educational space, which shall be reflected in the prototype educational specifications.

Experienced professional with a specialized area of expertise.

Experience in the Advance Planning Department to develop pre-programming, programming (Scoping) Documents, feasibility studies and Castaldi Analysis reports for Capital Projects.

Coordinating with Capital Construction, Document Control, School Operations, the Attendance Boundary Committee, Region staff administrators, and school site administrators as needed to determine needs for, and status of, facilities projects.

May manage small or medium-sized projects, or have full technical control of project.
