13317BR FTE: 0.0 Shift: Day/evening Compensation: $26.34+ based on experience Hours Per Week: Varies with availability Weekends: Some Non-Benefit Eligible The Family Health Educator is a committed individual who provides health education and support services to the community in the areas of Family Health, focusing on parenting/infant care and related topics. This position provides a crucial link to the hospital and prepares families for childbirth, their hospital stay, and early postpartum period in our family-centered care environment before they transition home. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or coursework in nursing, education, health care, or health management. Experience teaching parenting programs, infant education and safety Experience in Postpartum or Labor and Delivery Educational preparation in principles and theory of adult education. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience with technology. Ability to work effectively in a team and group setting. Teaching with organizational principles in mind and with an understanding of hospital policies and procedures. Able to incorporate different methods of learning into groups, including the use of all types of audio-visual equipment. Remains current with all learning applications, evaluations, and meetings throughout the year. Preferred Qualifications: RN License and/or experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery and postpartum.
