Job Description:

Virtus Healthcare Staffing has embarked on a search for a skilled Echo Tech / Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (PE) (ARDMS) on behalf of our esteemed client, a premier Level 1 Trauma Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. This pivotal role is geared towards a professional passionate about pediatric healthcare, offering a chance to become part of a leading team dedicated to superior patient outcomes. As a full-time permanent position, you will be at the forefront of pediatric cardiology, using advanced imaging techniques to support diagnostics and treatment.

Job Classification: Permanent - Full Time

Responsibilities:

Conduct extensive transthoracic echocardiograms across a pediatric age spectrum, including various complexities of congenital heart disease.

Generate comprehensive preliminary reports, ensuring accurate echocardiographic measurements.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of cardiac morphology and physiology, adeptly imaging and interpreting different surgical repairs in pediatric cardiology.

Work alongside physicians during transesophageal echocardiograms, managing requisite equipment efficiently.

Diligently maintain patient records and complete billing tasks.

Qualifications:

Mandatory: Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification by ARDMS or CCI, with a strong preference for Pediatric Echocardiography certification (ARDMS PE or CCI RPS).

Preferred: An Associate of Science in Cardiac Sonography or related field (Bachelor's degree favored), at least 2 years pediatric echocardiography experience, specialized certifications (in fetal or critical care echocardiography), and current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification. Pennsylvania Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 Clearances are essential.
