Job Description:
Echo Technologist-Cardiac performs electrocardiography/Echo studies an all patient populations served (neonate to mature adult).
Maintains communication between technical staff, nursing units and physicians to ensure tests and reports are completed in a timely manner, may need to provide on-call coverage.
Participates in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities and interdisciplinary teams as appropriate.
Job Qualification:
Performs diagnostic cardiology testing in compliance with department procedure and regulatory guidelines.
Graduate of an approved Echo or Cardiovascular Program required.
One (1) year experience preferred.
CPR certified required.
Board certified and board registered in cardiology vascular technology preferred.
On the job training candidates must have at least one year on the job experience.
Applicant must be registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound.
General Vascular. Required ARDMS credentials are (ARDMS RVT and RDMS).
