THE POSITION The Behavioral Health & Developmental Services Department in Washington County is currently hiring an Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist - Early Intervention Coordinator. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Your position entails administrative tasks related to Early Intervention Services (EIS), including reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, monitoring, and coordinating programs. Responsibilities include interpreting regulations, policies, and objectives to support the development of EIS for eligible individuals and families. Additionally, the role involves managing provider contracts and determining resource allocations. Having a thorough understanding of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), P.L. 102-119, and the Pennsylvania Early Intervention Services System Act (Act 212 of 1990, P.L. 1372, No. 212) is advantageous. Familiarity with Intellectual Disability bulletins, such as screening, evaluation, IFSP, P.L. 99-457 (Part H), EPSDT, and related rules & regulations, is also beneficial. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position may require work outside of normal business hours such as evenings and weekends. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. The starting salary for the position is $40,274.69 with a generous benefits package, including family health insurance, retirement contribution, and wellness benefits/activities for both employees and their families. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
