Kids On The Move, Inc. (KOTM) is a nonprofit organization located in Orem, UT that supports the development of young children and families by "empowering families, one child at a time." KOTM provides services through five main programs: Early Intervention, Early Head Start, Child Care, Respite Care and KOTM's Autism Center. KOTM is seeking a Spanish Speaking Development Specialist to work with children birth to three years old and their families, to help, provide, work with, and implement developmental strategies and outcomes that are individualized for the needs of the child and family. Responsibilities: The Spanish Speaking Developmental Specialist must be able to engage children in sustained positive play interactions at an age-appropriate level, have a good understanding of typical development in children ages birth-to-3 years in all areas, and an in-depth knowledge of social-emotional and cognitive development. Share results with the Early Intervention team and the family and discuss potential outcomes and services. Provide accurate and helpful strategies and information about typical and atypical child development to clients. Perform effectively as a team member and must be able to establish and maintain relationships of mutual respect and trust with client families, co-workers, and community partners. Be proficient in using a PC/iPad to submit and maintain personal work records. Communicate in English in both written and verbal formats on a professional level. Preferences: Previous Early Childhood experience Requirements: Bilingual Spanish/English Must have a bachelor's degree in a related field of study Must complete credentialing for the State of Utah as an Early Intervention Specialist within 6 months from date of hire (on-the-job training provided) Have an acceptable driving record Possess strong organization skills and well-balanced time management skills Use of a personal vehicle with continuous automobile insurance that meets state minimum insurance requirements must be able to drive around the community, negotiate stairs and uneven walking surfaces, and carry up to 50 pounds, work at the computer, and play actively with children on the floor for sustained periods of time.
