Questions before applying? or Summary: In a multiage Toddler Classroom, individual goals and objectives will be developed, implemented, and reviewed in partnership with parents on an ongoing and regular basis. A team approach between Families, the Early Head Start Teacher, and Childcare Teacher will support and assist each child's family to develop linkages and relationships within the community for any services needed. In addition, this position works with and supports the Part C Infant/Toddler Program to provide collaborative services in the least restrictive environment. Minimum Requirements: Driving: Must have a valid Kansas driver's license and be insurable with the Nation's insurance Experience: One to two years of relatable experience in childcare. Education: High School Diploma/GED, Child Development Associate (CDA) (5yr/6yr) credential or comparable credential and have been trained or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development. Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essentials elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the PBPN for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Knowledge: o Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. o Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. o Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. o Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. o Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
