Job Summary Job Summary PROGRAM SUMMARY Plaza de la Raza Child Development Services, Inc. (Plaza) is a comprehensive early childhood education program with a focus on school readiness for children zero to five years of age. Developmentally appropriate services are provided for children from low-income families, zero to five years of age. Plaza de la Raza currently serves over 700 children and their families. SUMMARY OF DUTIES The Early Head Start (EHS) Substitute Teacher position is under general direction, this position facilitates safe and healthy learning environments for infants and toddlers. Substitute Teacher is responsible for the well-being and safety of children, takes attendance, gathers student observations evidence and implements activities set in the lesson plan. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications A. Education Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related degree from an accredited college. Must have a California Child Development Teacher's Permit, six infant and toddler units; and a current and valid CPR/First Aid certification for infants and children. B. Experience Two years of experience (preferred) in a classroom setting or combination of two years of experience in both classroom and group settings is required.
