Early Childhood Intervention Specialist

Position: Early Childhood Intervention Specialist 2024 - 2025 school year If this describes you - we are anxious to talk with you about becoming a teacher in our preschool program: You enjoy the rewarding feeling that comes when a child learns something new. Mundane routines bore you. You are comfortable working with young children students who have a wide variety of abilities - including students who have been identified with disabilities. Juggling several tasks at one time is your super power. You can think on your feet while remaining calm, cool and collected. You have both an early childhood license and an early childhood intervention specialist license from the Ohio Department of Education - or will be eligible for one by the start of the 24-25 school year. In an ideal world: You might have worked in a preschool or daycare or program that exposed you to children ages 3 to 5. You enjoy getting being at eye-level with a young child. Paperwork and compliance issues do not bother you. Your friends comment on your extraordinary patience with young children. This position is not for you if: Interruptions make you crazy. You do not think you will need to take a few tips from your coworkers. You are looking for a job where you do the same thing every day. Facts about Working with TCESC: The salary schedule begins at $38,076 for a teacher with a bachelor's degree and no experience. TCESC teachers work a 184- day contract. TCESC pays 90 percent of a teacher's healthcare premium each month. Teachers accrue paid sick leave and have three personal days per year. TCESC pays for a $50,000 life insurance policy. Funds are available for partial tuition reimbursement. TCESC provides a mentor and a structured program for resident educators.
