Early Childhood Development Center Director

Certified Position: Early Childhood Development Center Director Location: To be determined Certified Position Start Date: Position Objectives: MCS is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Development Center Director to oversee and manage our comprehensive child development and early childhood programs catering to children aged 0-5. The ideal candidate will lead a team of educators, create a nurturing and stimulating environment, and ensure the highest standards of care and education for young children. Position Description: Leadership and Management: Provide visionary leadership, establishing and guiding the center in alignment with best practices and industry standards. Supervise and support teaching staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and curricula to enhance child development and education. Ensure and provide training and professional development as necessary for staff. Program Development: Design and oversee age-appropriate educational programs catering to children from infancy to preschool. Ensure a balanced curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Collaborate with educators to create engaging lesson plans and learning materials. Quality Assurance: Maintain compliance with licensing and accreditation standards. Conduct regular assessments to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors. Conduct all PTQ (FSSA) and NAEYC annual licensing inspection visits for each building. Parent and Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians, ensuring open communication and addressing concerns effectively. Organize and lead parent education programs, workshops, and events. Actively engage with the local community, building partnerships and representing the center positively. Administrative Duties: Manage budgetary responsibilities, including financial planning and resource allocation. Actively participate in fundraising and grant initiatives. Oversee enrollment, admissions, and scheduling of programs. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Assist with hiring and ensure ratio guidelines are always followed when pertaining to students and staff All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superintendent. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Proven experience in a leadership role within a child development center or similar setting. Strong knowledge of child development theories, best practices, and early childhood education methodologies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Familiarity with licensing regulations and compliance standards. Pay: $85,000 - $95,000 depending on experience 260 day position Physical Demands: Reports to: Superintendent of Madison Consolidated Schools and Board of Trustees who oversee the Early Childhood Development Center The Early Childhood Development Center Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the lives of young children during their formative years.
