E2 Before/After School Aide

The E2 aide assists the E2 program director by working with elementary aged students on educational and enrichment activities Monday-Friday. We have both before school (6:30am-8:45am) and after school (3:45pm-6:00pm) work hours on MCPS school days and additional work hours as needed on non-school weekdays. The position allows the aide to work up to 25 hours per week. Please note: This is a "continuous recruit posting" to build an applicant pool for these positions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical strength Ability to cooperate with other staff members Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment Dependability and punctuality required Ability to respond to emergencies in support of students and school operations Have the physical ability to repeatedly lift heavy objects (20+ lbs.) as needed Ability to support school functions and community activities as deemed necessary PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Possess effective verbal and written communication skills Possess the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and parents Ability to be dependable and punctual CPR certification
