Join the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) in Transforming Lives by providing oversight and monitoring of the contracts designed to increase community-based supports and services that will benefit people to live the lives they want to live. You'll support the state and federal funding allocated by the Washington State Legislature to develop, manage, and oversee contracts and associated expenditures from the Dan Thompson Memorial Developmental Disabilities Community Services Account. The account is spent on certain supports and services in a community setting to benefit people who have developmental disabilities. You'll work closely with the Home and Community-Based Services unit to ensure federal compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, as well as other state agencies, legislators, and stakeholders during the project period. This is a project position approved through June 30, 2025, and may have the ability to be extended through the end of the biennium. This position belongs to the job class Social Health and Program Consultant 4 Some of what you'll do Facilitate the review of all successful bidders received from the Developmental Disabilities Council for the purposes of contract development for community-based supports and services for people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities Develop policies, rules, and procedures governing the body of work associated with the Dan Thompson Memorial Developmental Disabilities Community Services Account Work with staff in the development of semi-custom contracts designed to meet both state and federal funding requirements Develop quality assurance measures to track the progress, effectiveness, and success of awarded contracts for community-based supports and services through the life cycle of each contract Develop and implement sustainable systems for the monitoring of services and supports based upon the awarded semi-custom contracts Provide technical assistance to contractors Work with the Eligibility and Payment Systems Unit to develop invoicing and payment mechanisms for services rendered Analyze contract data and prepare written analyses Respond to legislative inquiries, consumers, and stakeholder organizations related to the account Track and analyze legislation and rules, briefing executive management on issues Develop and administer strategic performance goals related to the account Who should apply? A bachelor's degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration, or a related field; AND 5 years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs OR A master's degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration, or a related field; AND 4 years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs OR One year of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 3 or equivalent OR Two years of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 2 or equivalent Desired Contract development and monitoring experience Flexibility in adapting to change, sensitivity to cultural diversity, and respect for differences in opinions and values Ability to develop and present analytical data in graphical form (e.g. maps, charts, graphs, diagrams, and models) Current philosophy, values, and methods for supporting people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities Interested?
