The person in this position works as the carpenter skilled in the completion of carpentry tasks and assists the Lead Carpenter and Project Management staff in responsibilities that relate to managing the repairs of both residential and light commercial structures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will include, but are not limited to: Complete carpentry tasks associated with residential and light commercial buildings. Manages available resources to complete assigned tasks. Cognizant of job and personal safety. May be required to assist in the Mitigation and/or Emergency Services departments on an as-needed basis. Skills Imperative to The Job: Able to communicate effectively with co-workers as required to complete tasks. Proficient Drywall & Paint skills. Able to use tools of the trade with precision. Desirable Skills: Bi-lingual Knowledgeable of fire and water restoration Knowledge and experience in local communities of region SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has limited supervisory responsibilities. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization. The employee must be able to carry a minimum of 50 pounds in weight for the purpose of getting material to a specific place on the project site. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
