QUALIFICATION: Master's level in Counseling or Social Work or related field. At least one year of experience in individual, family, and group therapy methods preferred. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Evidence and demonstration of cultural humility required. Act 33, Act 34 and FBI Clearances required. Child Protective Service Law Training (CPSL) completion required. Current driver's license and current vehicle insurance.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

DRUG AND ALCOHOL (D&A) PROGRAM

  1. Involves providing individual counseling, group counseling, and care management for people of all ages with substance use and other mental disorders.
  2. Provides psychosocial assessment; ongoing individual, family, and group counseling; client/family education; and care management for cases assigned.
  3. Participates in regularly scheduled clinical supervision with assigned supervisor.
  4. Maintains timely and adequate documentation (including reports, summaries, and letters) on each client assigned.
  5. Works in close cooperation with other social service agencies, hospitals, and community resources toward planning and initializing services with clients.
  6. Participates in formal and informal treatment team meetings to facilitate collaborative care for clients.
  7. Provides community education as time permits. This involves public speaking, and planning and participating in educational workshops, seminars, etc.
  8. This position may require school-based intervention and/or work in satellite office (Grove City and Greenville).
  9. Attends all mandated Community Counseling Center in-service meetings and trainings, as well as continuing education classes to enhance job skills and maintain/purse licensure.

OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM

  1. One (1) through nine (9) as above in D&A Program
  2. Assesses strengths and therapeutic needs of clients.
  3. Provides strength-based services that are client-centered and recovery-focused.
  4. Recommends and refers for special evaluations and services, such as psychiatric assessment, or psychological testing.
  5. Involves and encourages participation of collateral supports (i.e., family, friends, other providers) in treatment and treatment planning.

  • Maintains and upholds Community Counseling Center's policies, respects confidentiality, and exhibits a professional demeanor at all times while at work.
  • Violation of policies/procedures/job duties will be subject to disciplinary action.
  • Can perform the essential functions of this position with/without reasonable accommodations.
  • Participates in CCC CQI (compliance quality improvement) plan to ensure quality of service to CCC consumers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
