Driver
Monday-Friday; 6am-4pm
Pay Rate: $20hr-$26/hr (based on qualifications)
Responsibilities:
- Operate trucks in accordance with classification of current license (Class "C," Class "B," or Class "A").
- Follow all D.O.T. rules and regulations in addition to requirements and standards set by management.
- Follow delivery and/or pick up instructions as directed.
- Complete all documents required to process shipment upon return to facility.
- Maintain business relationship with customer and office staff.
- Identify potential issues or problems and resolve or contact manager for direction.
- Update customer service and/or operations managers with customer issues or questions.
- Properly complete expense reports, logs, and fuel purchases in addition to other job related documents.
- Obey all safety rules and road markings to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Maintain clean driving record.
- Inspect vehicle for pre-trip and post-trip condition.
- Review requirements for shipping materials and equipment prior to leaving the facility.
- Assist in loading and unloading product from trucks.
- Direct helpers and laborers in performance of work.
- Direct crew to complete job in efficient, safe manner and in accordance with customer's expectations and job requirements.
- Participate in commercial office moves as scheduled by management.
Required: Have and maintain proper license for equipment operation. Knowledge of driver logs and D.O.T. regulations and requirements.
Skills: - Must have ability to supervise and direct crew to execute job efficiently.
- Ability to reason and resolve issues quickly, with minimal guidance.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and able understand basic instructions.
Work Environment: - Extended sitting in vehicle while driving.
- Travel in company owned and operated trucks.
- Environment includes, but is not limited to, homeowner's residences, warehouse, commercial offices, and outdoor work, with occasional office activities.
- Travel is required up to 100% of the time. Must have ability to lift and carry product (up to 100lbs. without assistance), bend, walk, stand, stoop, see, hear, and kneel with or without reasonable accommodations.
