Detroit Lakes Public Schools is seeking a Driver Education Instructor

The instructor is responsible for preparing students for their MN driver's license in accordance with the MN Driver's Manual. This position includes both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. The instructor is responsible for teaching the fundamentals of operating a vehicle safely and proper driving management techniques. All duties must be performed in strict conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.

Current teachers. You can add the Driver and Traffic Safety endorsement as undergraduate OR graduate credits (from St. Cloud State University). After this initial investment, this is a flexible position with great income potential. Instructors work anywhere from 500 to 900+ hours per year (year-round).

Qualifications: Current Minnesota teaching license with a Driver and Traffic Safety endorsement.

Schedule: Flexible schedule with mostly after school and weekend hours possible.

Hourly rate: $28.50
