As a Donor Technician III, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for various critical tasks that contribute to the safety of our blood supply. This dynamic role involves performing allogeneic donor phlebotomy, conducting automated apheresis procedures, drawing samples for HLA tissue typing, serology retest, blood product manufacturing, and participating in research projects. In addition, you will operate blood donor vehicles (including bloodmobiles and box trucks) and work in diverse environments such as donor centers, blood banks, and blood drive settings. As a successful candidate, you will: Perform allogeneic whole blood and donor apheresis procedures according to Donor Apheresis Center standard operating procedures Perform donor screening interviews and evaluates donors for suitability/eligibility according to established criteria and standard operating procedure. Regularly participate in off-site blood drives, and assist with setup, breakdown and other mobile operations duties as assigned. Maintain inventory of supplies on mobile blood drive carts, bins, and vehicles Your qualifications should include: High School or equivalent 3+ years previous donor/patient care and blood center experience as a donor phlebotomist. CA Certified phlebotomist Current CPR certification CA driver's license with good driving record Schedule: 4 x 10-hour scheduled shifts City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
