Summary DON Pathways Internship Program You will serve as a STUDENT TRAINEE (PUBLIC AFFAIRS) in the NAVSUP Public Affairs Office, Office of Corporate Communications of NAVAL SUPPLY SYSTEMS COMMAND. Duties You will assist in the planning and execution of internal and external communications and NAVSUP-sponsored and NAVSUP-supported events You will research and organize a variety of information for internal and external audiences, including stakeholders, constituents, and the public. You will assist with researching, writing, rewriting, proofreading, and editing feature stories, news releases, web content, social media content, statements, flashes, talking points, questions-and-answers, and other informational materials. You will assist in archiving historical files. You will provide administrative support by using email to disseminate information. You will assist with management of websites and social media properties. You will conduct interviews in support of content creation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Interns may be converted to a permanent position (or, in some limited circumstances, to a term position lasting 1-4 years) within 120 days of successful completion of the program.
To be eligible for conversion, Interns must: Complete at least 640 hours of work experience acquired through the Internship Program
Complete their degree or certificate requirements
Meet the qualification standards for the position to which the Intern will be converted
Meet agency-specific requirements as specified in the Participant's Agreement, and
