Document Control Specialist with Security Clearance

JOB TITLE: DOCUMENT CONTROL SPECIALIST DEPARTMENT: AEROSPACE & MECHANICAL ENGINEERING REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF AEROSPACE ENGINEERING CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT PRIMARY FUNCTION Platform Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Document Control Specialist. This role will be responsible for managing drawing revisions, coordinating redlines submissions, and ensuring the accuracy of technical documents in a Product Data Management (PDM) system. This position involves working closely with engineering, project controllers, and other stakeholders to maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure all redline submissions are completed and stakeholders updated. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages drawing revisions across all folders on the PDM system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Maintains and manages redlines on the redline board, coordinating status updates with the engineering department.
Coordinates the approval of technical documents through the appropriate channels, ensuring compliance with internal processes.
Ensures all printed drawing books on floor are up to date with latest revisions.
Manages all technical publications and work instructions ensuring latest revision are available both on floor and online.
Perform floor audits to ensure team is working off of latest rev drawings.
Collaborates with Project Controllers to ensure effective revision control on travelers.
Proactively notifies key stakeholders when redlines are completed, maintaining effective communication within the organization.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS High School diploma and 5 years of related experience
2+ years of Experience in Solidworks and Adobe
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
Extreme attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in a STEM related field +
PDM Administration experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Ability to traverse manufacturing facility
