Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a District Sales Manager will include:

  • Compensation (Range): / hour: Salary: 120K
  • Location: Operates from the employee's home located in the center of the territory; MA, CT, or RI
  • Direct hire position
  • Salary:120K with 10% Bonus
  • Will be the face of the company.
  • Company vehicle, cell phone and laptop provided.
  • Typically, this position operates from the employee's home located in the center of the territory, MA, CT, or RI
  • A DSM must be goal-oriented and have the ability to establish rapport with dealers and major fleets within the territory.
  • They will have direct responsibility for recruiting, training, and assisting dealers to be effective in the sale of vehicles to fleets or small users.
  • Achieve planned periodic sales goals to dealers and deliveries to users.
  • Recruit and maintain acceptable dealers to achieve major market representation and secondary markets.
  • Establish acceptable sales goals for dealers according to size of their market area.
  • Assure that dealers maintain an acceptable level of Standards, (Truck inventories, Trained Salespeople, programs, i.e
  • Train dealers and dealer sales personnel on products, product presentations, writing specifications into fleet bids and proper closing of deals.
  • Train and assist, when necessary, in the prompt resolution of customer complaints related to products.
  • Encourage dealers to participate and display products at local trade shows, etc and assist by participation when deemed necessary.
  • Maintain current awareness of competition, competitive situations, market activities, conditions, and report to Regional Vice President
  • Encourage dealers to properly participate in sales and marketing programs such as Co-op Advertising, Demonstrations, Regional and National programs.
  • Maintain records of all pertinent dealer business including orders, inventory, and deliveries
  • Encourage prompt delivery reporting, accurate records, etc and ensure that dealers are complying with sales policies.
  • Encourage dealers to anticipate demand of products and place orders in advance.
  • Responsible for market penetration of trucks in all classes within the district territory and by dealer



Job Requirements

  • College graduate (4 years with major in sales/business administration)
  • 5-10 years of successful sales experience (preferably in the retailing of medium/heavy duty trucks)
  • Great personal skills in prioritizing and organizing use of time.
  • Ability to manage and motivate sales personnel.
  • Goal-oriented
  • Must be open to travel frequently.
