Distributor Truck Driver

Cox Paving, located in Washington Court House, OH is currently seeking a Class A CDL Distributor Truck Driver. This is a highly skilled position involving control and operation of a Asphalt Distributor/Tack Truck. This position does require a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement. Distributor Truck Responsibilities: Set spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi-automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment Possess a solid understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervision May perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions, and other general laboring Keep up to date on state and federal laws / regulations Maintain accurate log book Keep record of vehicle inspections / safety equipment / placards (if applicable) Distributor Truck Desired Qualifications: 1-3 years' experience driving a commercial vehicle GED or High School Diploma Valid Class A CDL Valid Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement Current valid DOT medical card Clean driving record Distributor Truck Working Conditions: Sitting for a long duration The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 10 to 50 lbs Could be asked to work various shifts Overtime, nights, and weekends may be required EOE/M/F/Disabled/Veteran/DFSP
